Visit a spice plantation and learn about the island’s famous spices and tropical plants before continuing to historic Stone Town.
From Stone Town, continue by boat to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, where you can see the famous giant tortoises.

Depending on the itinerary and conditions, your experience may include the marine area around Mnemba, snorkelling, Nungwi and its sea-turtle conservation experience, traditional dhow boat building and time around Kendwa Beach.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive. Settle In. Begin Your Island Stay.
Arrive in Zanzibar and meet your arranged airport transfer. Travel to Nuru ya Zanzibar in peaceful Pongwe and check into your room. Take the rest of the day at your own pace. Relax around the pool, enjoy the garden, have something to eat or drink at the restaurant, or simply rest after your journey.

Discover the History and Culture of Zanzibar
Start your day with breakfast at Nuru before heading out for your first full-day experience. Discover Zanzibar’s famous spices, explore historic Stone Town and continue by boat to Prison Island to see the giant tortoises. Return to Nuru in the evening and relax after your day of discovery.

A Day Without a Schedule
Today is yours. Sleep a little longer, enjoy breakfast and take time to experience Nuru at a slower pace. Swim in the pool, relax in the garden or use one of our complimentary bicycles to explore the surrounding area. You can also enjoy time at Pongwe Beach through our beach arrangement. Collect your beach towel at Nuru and head out for some time by the ocean.

Discover Zanzibar's Northern Coast
After breakfast, set out for your second full-day island experience. Explore the marine environment around Mnemba, enjoy opportunities for snorkelling and discover Nungwi and Kendwa. Depending on the day's itinerary and conditions, the experience may also include a sea-turtle conservation visit and a look at traditional dhow boat building. Return to Nuru after your day out and enjoy a relaxed final evening.

One Last Morning in Zanzibar
Enjoy your final breakfast at Nuru. Depending on your departure time, take a final swim, relax around the property or enjoy a little more time in Pongwe. Check out and take your arranged transfer to Zanzibar Airport.
